As unidades (ou pontos) de densidade (GU) seriam, portanto, 50 GU (os dois \u00faltimos algarismos de 1,050).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">[math]\\text{BU:GU} = \\dfrac{\\text{IBU}}{\\text{GU}}[\/math]<\/p>\n<p>Se for definido que a cerveja que se pretende produzir ter\u00e1 40 IBU, depois de aplicar a f\u00f3rmula BU:GU obter\u00edamos um \u00edndice de 0,80.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">[math]\\text{BU:GU} = \\dfrac{40}{50} = 0{,}80[\/math]<\/p>\n<p>Isso colocaria a cerveja na zona verde-escura do gr\u00e1fico, ou seja, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thebeertimes.com\/pt-br\/lupulado-vs-amargo-cerveja-diferenca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">muito lupulada<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Por outro lado, com base no gr\u00e1fico anterior, para uma densidade inicial de 1,050, uma faixa razo\u00e1vel de amargor ficaria entre 15 e 42 IBUs, ou, o que d\u00e1 no mesmo, um \u00edndice BU:GU entre 0,30 e 0,84.<\/p>\n<h2>Resultados e interpreta\u00e7\u00e3o<\/h2>\n<p>A interpreta\u00e7\u00e3o do resultado \u00e9 simples. Quando o \u00edndice fica na zona laranja, trata-se de cervejas maltadas.<\/p>\n<p>Um resultado na zona amarela do gr\u00e1fico equivaleria a uma cerveja com equil\u00edbrio entre malte e l\u00fapulo. O caso da stout seca mostra que o \u00edndice n\u00e3o depende da cor nem da torra.<\/p>\n<h2>Valores do \u00edndice BU:GU por estilo<\/h2>\n<p>A tabela calcula o \u00edndice com o ponto m\u00e9dio de IBU e de densidade inicial de cada estilo no guia BJCP 2021. A percep\u00e7\u00e3o do amargor depende de quanto a\u00e7\u00facar fica sem fermentar.<\/p>\n<p>Para corrigir isso, Ryan Shwayder prop\u00f4s no Mad Alchemist o \u00edndice de amargor relativo ou RBR (Relative Bitterness Ratio), que ajusta o BU:GU de acordo com a atenua\u00e7\u00e3o aparente (ADF) da cerveja.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">[math]\\text{RBR} = \\text{BU:GU} \\times \\left(1 + (\\text{ADF} &#8211; 0{,}7655)\\right)[\/math]<\/p>\n<p>O valor 0,7655 \u00e9 a atenua\u00e7\u00e3o aparente m\u00e9dia do conjunto de estilos BJCP (<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.brewfather.app\/recipes\/designer\/relative-bitterness-ratio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Brewfather<\/a>). Se a cerveja terminar mais seca que essa m\u00e9dia, o RBR sobe. Se ficar mais doce, cai.<\/p>\n<p>Com densidade 1,050 e 25 IBU, o BU:GU \u00e9 0,5 nos dois casos.
